Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday alleged that Pakistan’s eastern neighbour is involved in supporting terrorist activities in the country and vowed that the state would continue operations until militancy is completely eliminated.
CQUETTA, Pakistan – Web Desk: hairing the Provincial Apex Committee meeting under the National Action Plan (NAP) in Quetta, the prime minister said recent terrorist attacks had claimed the lives of personnel from the Pakistan Army, police, and civilians.
The meeting was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan, along with federal ministers and senior civil and military officials.
The prime minister said security forces had eliminated 54 terrorists in recent operations, adding that the campaign against militant groups would continue until the “last terrorist” is neutralized.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces, saying the entire nation stands firmly behind its military in the fight against terrorism.
Shehbaz Sharif further alleged that Pakistan’s eastern neighbour is providing weapons, financial assistance, and logistical support to militant groups. He also claimed that terrorists use Afghan territory to launch attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
The prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan’s political and military leadership remains united in its resolve to eradicate terrorism and will utilize all available resources to ensure lasting peace and national security.
