Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said three of its personnel were killed in US airstrikes carried out in Khuzestan province on Thursday morning.
In a statement, the IRGC Navy said the deaths occurred during what it described as US military strikes targeting the southwestern Iranian province. It warned that any US military adventurism or interference with navigation in the Strait of Hormuz would receive a “decisive response.”
The statement further claimed that foreign powers have no legitimate interest in the strategic Strait of Hormuz and asserted that continued US military actions could hinder efforts to reopen the vital global shipping route.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and renewed concerns over maritime security in the Gulf, where the Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical oil transit chokepoints.
