AMMAN, Jordan – Web Desk: Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted eight missiles launched from Iran, according to local media, as regional tensions continue to escalate across the Middle East.

Jordanian authorities said no casualties or property damage were reported following the interceptions.

A government spokesperson said air raid sirens were activated after incoming missiles from Iran were detected entering the country’s airspace. The alert was issued as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.

The spokesperson added that the Jordanian Armed Forces remain fully prepared to respond to any threat against the country’s sovereignty and national security. Officials reaffirmed that the military is on high alert to counter any attack that could endanger Jordan’s territorial integrity.

The incident comes amid rising security concerns in the region, with neighboring countries remaining vigilant as tensions involving Iran continue to impact regional stability.
