Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has not yet received a formal invitation from the Indian government to attend the Indian Premier League (IPL) final, according to official sources.
Reports had suggested that Naqvi was invited to attend the IPL final scheduled for May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, PCB sources clarified that no official invitation has been received so far.
According to information, any potential visit by the PCB chairman to India would require final approval from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Officials added that further progress is expected only after a formal diplomatic invitation is issued by the Indian side.
Meanwhile, the ICC Board meeting is scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on May 30 and 31, where Pakistan is expected to be represented by the PCB chairman. However, his participation remains uncertain due to the unclear invitation status.
The situation highlights ongoing procedural and diplomatic formalities surrounding high-level cricket administration engagements between the two countries.
