Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has arrived in Iran on an official visit, according to security sources.
Officials said the Pakistan Army Chief is expected to hold meetings with senior Iranian leadership during the visit, focusing on regional security and bilateral cooperation.
The visit comes as Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is already in Tehran, where he has been engaged in discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on regional tensions and efforts to reduce conflict between the United States and Iran.
According to international news agencies, Mohsin Naqvi and Iranian officials have also discussed draft proposals related to de-escalation and potential frameworks for peace between Washington and Tehran.
Iranian media reported that both sides reviewed possible mechanisms for regional stability and peace-building measures.
Diplomatic sources said Mohsin Naqvi is expected to remain in Tehran for additional meetings as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement related to US-Iran dialogue efforts.
The overlapping high-level visits highlight intensified diplomatic activity in the region amid efforts to reduce tensions and promote dialogue.
