Parachinar Airport in Kurram District Reactivated After Years

PARACHINAR – Web Desk: Parachinar Airport in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram district has been reactivated after remaining non-operational for an extended period, sources confirmed.

The airport was revived through the collaborative efforts of the Pakistan Army, the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), and the Pakistan Airports Authority, according to sources. On April 26, Pakistan Army Aviation conducted operational landing and takeoff trials at the facility.

The trials were carried out to assess runway functionality and operational readiness, sources said. Army Aviation successfully completed six landing and takeoff trials. The airport runways have been declared compliant with professional standards and high safety protocols.
