Pakistan Warns India of Decisive Response to Any Escalation

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has warned that any “misadventure” by India would be met with an immediate, effective, and decisive response, as tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors continue to simmer.

Speaking on the first anniversary of the Pahalgam incident, Tarar questioned India’s narrative, stating that New Delhi has yet to provide satisfactory evidence to support its claims regarding the event. He alleged that the incident reflected inconsistencies and raised serious questions that remain unanswered.

Tarar said Pakistan had offered an independent and impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident, but India did not accept the proposal. He argued that the refusal to allow an inquiry had further fueled doubts surrounding the episode.

The minister also criticized what he described as India’s approach to regional security issues, accusing New Delhi of portraying internal challenges as external threats while downplaying internationally recognized disputes such as Jammu and Kashmir.

He further alleged that India has used propaganda to shape narratives, particularly through its media, which he claimed had amplified unverified reports and contributed to heightened tensions in the region.

Tarar reiterated Pakistan’s position that it possesses evidence of India’s involvement in destabilizing activities, adding that such information has been shared with international stakeholders on multiple occasions.

Referring to broader regional dynamics, the minister said Pakistan remains committed to combating terrorism and ensuring national security, emphasizing that the country would not compromise on its sovereignty or territorial integrity.

He added that Pakistan’s political and military leadership remain united in their resolve to defend the country, while also advocating for peace and stability in South Asia.

The statement underscores ongoing diplomatic strains between Islamabad and New Delhi, with both sides maintaining sharply contrasting positions on security and regional issues.
