Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Australian cricketer Steve Smith has praised Pakistan’s hospitality during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, while also noting the lack of spectators at matches.
Speaking at a press conference, Smith, who is representing Multan Sultans in the tournament, described his experience in Pakistan as “fantastic” and said he was enjoying his time in the league. However, he pointed out that the low turnout of fans in stadiums has been noticeable.
“I hope fans are enjoying the matches on television,” Smith said, expressing optimism that viewership remains strong despite limited crowd presence.
The former Australian captain added that PSL is a highly competitive and talented league, with quality players across all teams, making every match challenging.
Reflecting on his role as an opener in the T20 format, Smith said it suits his style of play, particularly due to the opportunities provided during the powerplay overs.
He also spoke positively about the young players in the Multan Sultans squad, saying he is learning from them and enjoying the team environment. Smith emphasized that the team aims to perform strongly in the remaining matches and push for a top-two finish on the points table.
