New Delhi – Web Desk: Following a heavy defeat against India in the T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s team management is reportedly disappointed with the performance of senior players and is considering strategic changes for the upcoming match against Namibia.
Sources indicate that captain Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi could potentially be rested to give opportunities to bench strength in the team. Team management is evaluating two to three changes in the playing XI for the crucial match.
Pakistan will face Namibia on February 18, a do-or-die encounter as the team must secure a win to progress to the Super 12 stage. Even if the match is affected by rain, Pakistan will still advance, according to tournament rules.
Officials suggest that this move is aimed at injecting fresh energy and ensuring team balance, while also sending a message that underperformance will have consequences in high-stakes matches.
