Pakistan Slams India at UN, Accuses New Delhi of State-Sponsored Terrorism

Date:

United Nations, New York – Web Desk: Pakistan’s First Secretary Anwar Shah delivered a sharp rebuttal to India’s statement at the United Nations Security Council, accusing New Delhi of being a “state sponsor of terrorism” and criticizing its “unlawful” actions on the Indus Waters Treaty .

Rejection of India’s “Misleading” Claims

Shah opened his remarks by accusing India of “distorting facts,” specifically addressing India’s attempt to unilaterally suspend the Indus Waters Treaty. He pointed to the August 2025 ruling by the Court of Arbitration, which reaffirmed that the Treaty remains “effective and legally binding,” and called India’s move to use water as a weapon of political pressure “a serious violation of international law.”

Accusations of State-Sponsored Terrorism

Shah responded to India’s “unfounded allegations” by turning the tables, accusing India of sponsoring terrorism. He cited India’s alleged support for groups like the TTP, the BLA, and the Majeed Brigade, which he claimed have killed thousands of Pakistani civilians and security personnel. He also pointed to evidence of India’s alleged involvement in extrajudicial killings abroad, including in North America. “India is not a victim of terrorism. It is a state sponsor of terrorism,” he stated.

Kashmir and Self-Determination

Shah reiterated Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir, stating it “was never and is not part of India,” and accused India of “state terrorism” in the region. He urged India to fulfill its obligations under the UN Charter and Security Council resolutions, including allowing the Kashmiri people the right to self-determination, rather than violating international law .
