Antalya, Turkey – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a key meeting with US President Donald Trump’s adviser on Arab and African affairs, Massad Boulos, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, where regional developments and bilateral relations were discussed.
According to an official statement, the US envoy conveyed President Trump’s best wishes to the Pakistani leadership during the meeting.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed appreciation for President Trump’s leadership, particularly in facilitating ceasefire efforts during recent Pakistan–India tensions, which had brought the situation to the brink of escalation.
The Prime Minister also lauded the role of US leadership in the successful implementation of the Lebanon ceasefire, highlighting Washington’s engagement in regional peace efforts.
Both sides exchanged views on the overall regional situation, Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives, ceasefire developments, and ongoing discussions in Islamabad.
Shehbaz Sharif stressed the importance of strengthening Pakistan–US relations, particularly in trade and economic cooperation.
Massad Boulos reiterated Washington’s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan in areas including counterterrorism, economic development, and addressing global challenges, while also praising Pakistan’s constructive role in regional stability.
The meeting reflects continued engagement between Islamabad and Washington amid evolving geopolitical developments in the Middle East and South Asia.
