ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Web Desk: Senior officials at Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry have said that reports regarding finalized talks scheduled for Friday in Islamabad remain unconfirmed, stating that the matter is still under consideration and nothing has been finalized yet.
According to sources, preparations for possible diplomatic engagement are ongoing, but no official confirmation has been issued regarding the timing or agenda of the proposed talks.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei praised Pakistan’s efforts in supporting a ceasefire and diplomatic de-escalation in the region.
Baghaei said Iran appreciates Pakistan’s role in promoting a ceasefire and added that Tehran continues to take necessary measures to safeguard its national interests and security.
His remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions and intensified diplomatic activity involving Pakistan, Iran, and the United States.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had expressed optimism that a second round of talks with Iran could take place within days, suggesting possible developments within 36 to 72 hours.
However, officials say the situation remains fluid, with diplomatic arrangements still under discussion and subject to change.
