Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: A resolution welcoming the recent Iran–United States ceasefire has been submitted in the Punjab Assembly, marking a significant political endorsement of diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East.
According to local media reports, the resolution was tabled by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) lawmaker Hina Parvez Butt. It commends the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States and highlights Pakistan’s role in promoting peace through diplomatic engagement.
The resolution praises Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their contributions, describing them as key figures in advancing peace efforts in the region.
It further states that Pakistan’s proactive diplomacy has gained global recognition, transforming the country into an influential player in international peace initiatives. The document emphasizes that Pakistan’s efforts have helped ease regional tensions and contributed to a more stable geopolitical environment.
The resolution also reiterates the Assembly’s full support for the federal government’s decisions aimed at promoting peace and stability, particularly in the Middle East, where recent conflicts have raised global security concerns.
