Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The federal government of Pakistan has approved a nationwide operation against banned terrorist organizations, with a strategy being developed to target facilitators and sleeper cells across the country.
The decision came during a high-level security meeting chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad. Chiefs of Police from all four provinces attended the session and provided briefings on law and order in their respective regions.
According to sources, the meeting also assessed the potential presence of ISIS elements in Pakistan and deliberated on strategies to strengthen security following recent explosions in Islamabad. Officials confirmed that consultations are ongoing regarding coordinated action against the sleeper cells of banned outfits.
The federal interior ministry emphasized the importance of a comprehensive and coordinated crackdown to maintain national security and prevent further terrorist activities.
