Oil Prices Surge After Trump Signals Continued War Against Iran

Date:

Washington, USA – Web Desk: Global oil prices surged sharply after U.S. President Donald Trump signaled continued military action against Iran, raising concerns over potential supply disruptions in the Middle East.

Following Trump’s address to the nation, international benchmark Brent crude rose nearly 4% to reach $105.55 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed around 3% to trade near $103 per barrel.

Market analysts attributed the spike to growing fears of escalating conflict in the region, which could impact key energy supply routes and production infrastructure. Investors have adopted a cautious stance amid rising geopolitical tensions, directly influencing global energy markets.

Trump had indicated that military operations against Iran would continue and could intensify in the coming weeks, adding to uncertainty in the oil market. Experts warn that any prolonged conflict could further destabilize prices and disrupt global supply chains.
