(Web Desk)- The Sindh government has permitted e-challaning of official vehicles in case of violation of traffic rules in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
In this regard, the Services General Administration and Coordination Department has issued a written order.
The order was issued under the signature of Section Officer CT Aqeel Hussain Mako.
According to text of the order, if an official vehicle violates traffic rules, an e-challan will be issued and officers and employees will pay the e-challan amount from their pockets.
Action will be taken under Section 116A of the Traffic Ordinance 1956.
The order was issued to the Senior Member Board of Revenue and Chairman Inquiry Anti-Corruption.
The order was also issued to the Chairman Development and Planning, Chairman Chief Minister Inspection Team, Chairman Sindh Public Service Commission and Chairman Sindh Service Tribunal.
A letter was also sent to the secretaries of all departments and all divisional commissioners.
Not wearing seat belts in traffic rules, colored glasses, jumping red light and using mobile phones while driving included in the traffic violations.
