Khyber Tragedy: Police Officer and 7-Year-Old Son Killed in Shooting

Khyber, Pakistan – Web Desk: A tragic terrorist attack in Khyber claimed the lives of a police officer and his seven-year-old son on Wednesday. The incident occurred in Sultan Khel area when unidentified gunmen opened fire outside a local residence.

According to District Police Officer Waqar Ahmed, the police officer, Safir Khan, and his son Muhammad Talha were critically injured and immediately taken to Hayatabad Medical Complex. Despite urgent medical care, first Safir Khan and then his young son succumbed to their injuries. The attack has been registered as a case at Landi Kotal Police Station against unidentified assailants.

Separately, in Bannu, the bodies of two police officer brothers were recovered from Marwat Canal Road. Police spokesperson Asif Hassan confirmed that the search for their third brother, a government employee, is ongoing. Local residents stated that all three brothers were reportedly abducted from Sukri Hasan Khel the previous night.

The attacks have raised alarm over the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with authorities urging vigilance and intensified operations.
