Ghotki Police-Rangers Operation: 7 Notorious Gangsters Surrender

Ghotki, Pakistan – Web Desk: In a significant breakthrough, seven notorious gangsters from the infamous “Shar Gang” surrendered to law enforcement in Ghotki, Pakistan, amid the ongoing joint “Nijat Mehran” operation conducted by police and Rangers along the Sindh-Punjab border in the Ronti Kacha area.

According to SSP Ghotki Anwar Khethran, the surrendered gangsters were wanted in multiple cases including murder, tribal clashes, and armed robberies. The names of those who laid down arms include Asghar Shar, Abdul Latif Shar, Mor Shar, Badu Shar, Nali Chagu Shar, Shah Bakhsh alias Shaban Shar, and Mumtaz Shar.

SSP Khethran confirmed that over the 40-day operation, more than 75 criminal suspects, including several high-profile bounty holders, have surrendered to authorities.

Meanwhile, in Khairpur’s forested Kacha area, a separate phase of the Nijat Mehran operation led to the surrender of Ali Ahmed alias Ahmadu Narijo, a gang leader carrying a bounty of 5 million Pakistani Rupees. Ahmedo Narijo was wanted in more than 60 criminal cases across Sindh.

Law enforcement officials said these developments mark a major success in curbing organized crime and restoring security in the region, highlighting the ongoing commitment of police and Rangers to dismantle criminal networks in rural and border areas.
