Israeli military operations continued across southern Lebanon as the sixth round of Rome talks between Lebanon and Israel entered its second day, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).
Beirut, Lebanon – Web Desk: The agency reported that Israeli forces carried out a large explosion in the eastern area of Khiam in the Marjayoun district during the early hours of the morning, followed by another blast in the nearby town of Qantara.
NNA also said Israeli forces conducted extensive explosions targeting valleys and residential areas in Beit Yahoun, located in the Bint Jbeil district. The reported operations coincided with bulldozing activities on roads connecting Bint Jbeil to the border town of Maroun al-Ras.
Separately, Israeli troops reportedly opened fire as residents attempted to inspect agricultural land near Majdal Zoun and Mansouri. No injuries were immediately reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli drones continued flying over Beirut and its southern suburbs, according to the agency.
The military activity comes as diplomatic discussions between Lebanon and Israel continue in Rome, with regional tensions remaining high.
