Israel Backs Trump’s Iran Port Blockade Decision

Date:

Jerusalem, Israel – Web Desk: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced full support for U.S. President Donald Trump over his decision to impose a maritime blockade on Iranian ports, further escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to international media reports, Netanyahu made the remarks during a cabinet meeting on Monday, stating that Israel stands firmly with Washington’s hardline approach toward Iran.

He said U.S. Vice President JD Vance had briefed Israeli officials following his return from Pakistan, where talks with Iran reportedly ended without agreement.

Netanyahu accused Iran of violating the terms of peace negotiations held in Islamabad and described the U.S. decision to enforce a naval blockade as justified.

Meanwhile, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said restrictions on Iranian Gulf ports and coastal areas would take effect from Monday morning, limiting maritime access as part of broader enforcement measures.

Trump has stated that the move aims to control maritime activity around the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global oil shipments.

The situation remains highly volatile, with Iran warning that the presence of foreign military vessels near the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a violation of ceasefire conditions and could trigger a response.

Analysts caution that the escalating standoff could disrupt global oil supplies and further destabilize regional security dynamics.
