Iran’s Qalibaf Says No Deal With US Without Concrete Results

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s senior negotiator and parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has stated that Tehran will not accept any agreement with the United States unless it delivers clear, concrete and practical results.

According to Iranian state media, Qalibaf made the remarks while addressing a virtual session of parliament, where he also took the oath after being re-elected as speaker.

He said Iran does not trust the commitments of the opposing side, stressing that only “real and verifiable outcomes” would be the benchmark for any progress in talks.

Qalibaf added that protecting the rights of the Iranian people remains a fundamental condition in any potential agreement, and Tehran will not fulfill its obligations unless those rights are guaranteed.

He further said that Iran cannot rely on statements or promises from adversaries and will only consider any deal valid if its practical outcomes are clearly demonstrated.

The speaker also noted that the guidance of Iran’s Supreme Leader serves as a roadmap for the 12th parliament, with a focus on hope, economic development, and improving living standards.

Qalibaf emphasized that Iran will reject any agreement with the US that does not ensure the protection of national rights, reiterating that tangible results remain the only measure of success in negotiations.
