Web Desk – Tel Aviv Explosions were heard across Tel Aviv after Iran launched a missile barrage toward Israel, intensifying regional tensions.
According to reports, multiple blasts echoed across the city early Friday as Israeli air defenses attempted to intercept incoming missiles. Firefighters were deployed to contain a fire that broke out in a residential building near Israel’s commercial hub after debris from an intercepted projectile fell on the structure.
Iranian state media said the missiles were aimed at targets “in the heart of Tel Aviv,” while Israel’s military confirmed it was working to intercept incoming Iranian fire.
Residents reported seeing rocket trails lighting up the night sky, including in Netanya, located north of Tel Aviv along the Mediterranean coast.
Emergency services from Magen David Adom said teams responded to several impact sites. Authorities confirmed property damage but reported no casualties.
Israeli police also said they were handling incidents involving fallen projectiles in central Israel, adding that residents were temporarily evacuated from affected buildings.
The escalation comes as Israel expands its military campaign against the Iran-backed Hezbollah, following rising tensions across the region.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that attacks overnight also targeted an area near the Financial Harbour Towers in Manama, where the Reuters said an Iranian drone was intercepted.
Security alerts were also issued by Israel’s Home Front Command for communities near the Lebanon border, warning residents of possible further rocket fire.
