Tehran, Iran – Web Desk, April 6, 2026: Iranian embassies around the world have responded to recent threats by Donald Trump with satire and mockery, as a series of social media posts from diplomatic missions went viral.
Instead of issuing formal statements, several Iranian embassies used humor and طنزیہ (satirical) messaging to counter the rhetoric. In Zimbabwe, the Iranian embassy jokingly replied to Trump’s demand regarding the Strait of Hormuz by saying, “We lost the key,” while also sarcastically asking for flexibility on deadlines.
In Bulgaria, a cartoon depicted Trump stuck in the narrow passage of the Strait of Hormuz, symbolizing the geopolitical tensions surrounding the critical oil route.
Meanwhile, in Tajikistan, a post portrayed Iran as being “stuck in Trump’s throat,” attributing tensions to what it described as provocative rhetoric.
The Iranian embassy in Indonesia shared a video showing U.S. aircraft approaching Iran and being destroyed, further amplifying the online campaign.
Similarly, in Armenia, a video linked Trump’s policies to a potential global fuel crisis, highlighting concerns over escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The coordinated online response reflects a shift toward digital diplomacy, where satire and viral content are increasingly used as tools of political messaging in times of international crisis.
