Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran has issued a strong warning to the United States, cautioning that any miscalculation could lead to severe consequences, as tensions escalate ahead of a fragile ceasefire deadline.
Mohammad Mokhber, a senior adviser linked to Iran’s Supreme Leadership, said Tehran is closely monitoring developments to ensure that negotiations are not used as a tactic to prolong conflict. He stressed that national sovereignty remains Iran’s top priority and that diplomacy is only effective when backed by action.
According to Iranian media, Mokhber warned that Iran’s response could extend beyond the region, potentially impacting the global balance of power.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said the ongoing ceasefire with Iran is set to expire on Wednesday evening, with little chance of extension. He warned of possible military action if a deal is not reached.
Trump also confirmed that a US delegation, including Vice President JD Vance, envoy Steve Witkoff, and adviser Jared Kushner, is heading to Pakistan for the next round of talks with Iran.
The developments come amid heightened geopolitical tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
