Iran says it hit a US air base after strikes near Bandar Abbas

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a retaliatory strike targeting a U.S. air base following reported American attacks in the Bandar Abbas region, according to Iranian state media.

In a statement, the IRGC said the action was carried out in response to recent U.S. strikes and did not provide further details regarding the location or extent of damage at the targeted base.

The statement warned that if the United States continues its military operations, Iran will respond with what it described as a “severe and decisive” reaction, adding that Washington would bear full responsibility for any further escalation.

The development comes amid rapidly escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz region, where both sides have exchanged accusations of attacks on military and maritime assets, raising concerns over broader regional instability.
