Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran is observing a period of mourning following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in recent U.S. and Israeli airstrikes. According to official Iranian media, Khamenei’s funeral prayer will be held in Tehran on Wednesday, with burial scheduled for March 6 after three days of mourning and religious ceremonies.

Reports indicate that Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader’s son, has emerged as a leading candidate to succeed his father, with the final decision on Iran’s next Supreme Leader expected soon.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned that any successor continuing Khamenei’s anti-Israel policies could become a target. The atmosphere in Iran is tense, with strict security measures in place, and regional tensions remain elevated following the airstrikes.
