Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump said his administration is achieving significant progress in dealing with Iran, reiterating that Tehran will not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said Iran is not in a position to possess nuclear weapons and stressed that Washington remains committed to preventing the country from developing such capabilities.
The U.S. president also addressed developments in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes. Trump said numerous oil tankers had successfully passed through the waterway, though he declined to provide specific figures.
He expressed confidence that tensions affecting the Strait of Hormuz would be resolved soon and said global energy markets could benefit once the situation stabilizes. According to Trump, oil prices are expected to decline after normal conditions return to the strategic maritime corridor, adding that prices could potentially fall below current levels.
The remarks come as investors and policymakers closely monitor developments in the Middle East, with particular focus on Iran, global energy supplies, maritime security, and international efforts to prevent nuclear proliferation.
