Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Amid escalating tensions between Iran and United States, Iranian leaders have accused Washington of preparing a ground attack under the pretext of negotiations, while Israeli air strikes continue to target multiple Iranian sites.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned that any attempt by U.S. forces to enter Iranian territory would be met with a severe response. He claimed that although the U.S. publicly discusses diplomacy, it is secretly preparing military action.
Reports indicate that electricity supply in Tehran and surrounding areas has been disrupted, attributed to attacks on energy facilities. Authorities said power restoration is ongoing.
U.S. and Israeli forces have reportedly carried out dozens of strikes across Iran, targeting weapons manufacturing and research centers. According to Iran Ministry of Health, thousands have been killed since the start of the conflict, including a significant number of children.
In central Isfahan, a university was hit again, leaving several staff members injured. Previous attacks on educational institutions have also been reported. Iranian media indicate that hundreds of schools and universities have been affected, causing casualties among both students and teachers, raising global concern over the humanitarian impact.
Analysts warn that continued escalation in the region could further destabilize the Middle East, threaten civilian infrastructure, and amplify humanitarian crises.
