Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistani actress Hina Tariq has shared her views on marriage, dowry (haq mehr), and the nikahnama, stating that she intends to take full responsibility and awareness in making key decisions about her future marriage.
Speaking in a recent YouTube program, the actress—known for her role as “Parizay” in the drama series Rahmat—said she will personally read her nikahnama and ensure that the conditions of her haq mehr are set according to her own choice.
Hina Tariq emphasized that she prefers seriousness and clarity in marriage agreements, adding that she would rather include spiritual aspirations in her haq mehr instead of purely financial demands. She revealed her long-held wish is to include religious journeys such as Umrah or Hajj as part of her haq mehr, considering them more meaningful than monetary value.
The actress also commented on changing social attitudes toward relationships, noting that modern society is becoming more accepting and less judgmental about past personal histories, including divorce. She said today’s younger generation prioritizes compatibility and personality over background, reflecting a positive shift in social thinking.
