‘Govt to form another committee over missing persons’

Date:

(Web Desk) – Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said on Saturday that the government was preparing to form another committee to examine the issue of missing persons.

Addressing the Asma Jahangir Conference in Lahore, Tarar said the new committee would review the matter in greater detail. He stated that some individuals had gone missing deliberately and later joined banned organisations.

The federal minister said the issue of missing persons was not limited to Pakistan but existed across the world. He added that the number of missing persons had reached nearly 2,600, stressing that the figure should ideally be zero.
