Gold prices edged higher in both international and Pakistani markets on Thursday, while silver prices declined in the local bullion market.
Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by $4 per ounce, taking the global benchmark to $4,030 per ounce.
Following the global trend, Pakistan’s local bullion market recorded an increase of Rs400 per tola, pushing the price to Rs425,436 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs343, reaching Rs364,742.
In contrast, silver prices moved lower in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola fell by Rs134 to Rs6,155, while the price of 10 grams of silver declined by Rs115 to Rs5,276.
Bullion dealers said local gold prices continued to reflect movements in international markets and fluctuations in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
