Karachi Update: Gold and Silver Prices Drop Sharply, Investors Take Notice
Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Gold prices continued their downward trend today as both international and local markets saw a significant decline. Following record-breaking rises over the past two days, gold and silver rates fell sharply.
In the international bullion market, gold dropped by $255 per ounce, bringing the new global price to $4,895 per ounce. Locally, 24-carat gold saw a PKR 25,500 drop per tola, settling at PKR 511,862 per tola, while per 10 grams, gold declined to PKR 438,839.
Silver also experienced a decrease, with per tola rates down by PKR 2,063 to PKR 9,006, and per 10 grams falling to PKR 7,721, down by PKR 1,768. Analysts suggest these fluctuations are due to global market volatility and investor activity.
