England Hit Again as Ollie Robinson Ruled Out of 2nd Test

Date:

London, United Kingdom – Web Desk: England have suffered another setback ahead of the second Test against New Zealand as fast bowler Ollie Robinson has been ruled out due to a knee injury, adding to the team’s growing injury concerns.

According to British media reports, the 32-year-old experienced discomfort in his right knee following a training session on Friday. He later underwent a precautionary scan, after which team management decided to withdraw him from the match.

Robinson had played a key role in England’s 115-run victory in the first Test at Lord’s, where he took a total of seven wickets, including a five-wicket haul in the first innings.

Young fast bowler Henry Crocombe has been named as his replacement in the squad.

The second Test is scheduled to begin on Wednesday at The Oval.

England are already without captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson, who have been ruled out due to a separate ongoing inquiry, further weakening the squad ahead of the crucial match.
