Dr Younis Butt Criticizes Kubra Khan’s Performance in ‘Doctor Bahu’

Date:

Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: Renowned Pakistani humorist and writer Dr. Younis Butt has openly criticized the performances of actors Kubra Khan and Shuja Asad in the television drama Doctor Bahu, describing their acting as unconvincing during a recent review on his YouTube channel.

Dr. Butt, a graduate of King Edward Medical College, Lahore, is widely recognized for creating popular television productions including Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain and Family Front. He currently shares satirical content and reviews of Pakistani television dramas on his YouTube platform.

Reviewing Doctor Bahu, Dr. Butt said Kubra Khan portrays every emotion in a similar manner, making it difficult for viewers to distinguish between different emotional expressions. According to him, her performance lacks variation and emotional depth.

He further remarked that the actress’s dialogue delivery appears slow, causing the drama to feel unnecessarily prolonged. He also commented that some scenes are difficult to follow without subtitles.

Speaking about Shuja Asad, Dr. Butt said the actor’s performance also appeared repetitive, adding that he delivers a similar expression in most scenes.

The veteran writer also offered criticism of director Mehreen Jabbar, saying she has a tendency to slow down the pace of otherwise fast-moving dramas.
