(Web Desk) – Authorities in Gilgit-Baltistan have imposed a three-day curfew in Gilgit and Skardu following concerns over the prevailing security situation, officials confirmed.
Under the curfew order, all unnecessary movement has been restricted, and residents have been advised to remain indoors. The district administration stated that law enforcement agencies will continue routine patrolling across the region to maintain order and ensure public safety.
Authorities warned that legal action would be taken against any violations of curfew restrictions and urged citizens to cooperate with security personnel. Officials also appealed to the public to avoid spreading unverified information and rumours that could create unnecessary panic.
The curfew comes amid heightened security measures in the region, with administration officials emphasising that steps are being taken to safeguard public stability. Further updates regarding the duration and possible relaxation of restrictions will be announced as conditions evolve.
