Lucknow, India – Web Desk: A youth-led protest movement known as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) staged a major demonstration in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, demanding the resignation of India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and urgent reforms in the country’s examination system.
According to Indian media reports, the protest was attended by a large number of students, job seekers, and youth activists who raised concerns over repeated exam paper leaks, delayed results, and alleged administrative irregularities affecting millions of candidates.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke addressed the gathering, stating that the movement is peaceful and aimed at highlighting youth issues through democratic and constitutional means. He said young people must unite to ensure their demands are heard by policymakers.
The group also presented a five-point education reform manifesto, calling for immediate changes to the exam system. Key demands include compensation of 10,000 rupees for candidates affected by paper leaks, publication of exam results within one month, independent audits of examination contracts and tenders, improved transparency and accountability, and strict action against responsible officials.
CJP announced that similar protests will be held in other major cities, including Amritsar, Bengaluru, and New Delhi. The group has also called for a nationwide demonstration scheduled for June 20 in the capital.
The movement claims to represent the voice of young people seeking fair recruitment processes and reforms in India’s education system.
Background of the CJP Movement:
The Cockroach Janta Party emerged following controversy surrounding an alleged remark linked to the judiciary, where unemployed youth were reportedly referred to using the term “cockroach.” The comment sparked widespread outrage across social media and among student communities.
In response, students, job aspirants, and social activists organized a unified online movement, which later evolved into the CJP platform. The initiative was founded by social activist and YouTuber Abhijeet Dipke, focusing on employment rights, exam transparency, and education reforms in India.
