Washington, United States – Web Desk: Senior Democratic leader in the US Senate, Chuck Schumer, launched a sharp attack on President Donald Trump over the Iran conflict, accusing him of dragging the United States into a costly and unnecessary war that delivered “confusion, chaos, and a heavy price” for the American people.
Speaking on the Senate floor, Schumer said the financial burden on US taxpayers continued to grow with every passing moment of the conflict. He argued that Americans had paid the price for what he described as Trump’s “historic mistake” in Iran.
The Democratic senator claimed the military campaign would be remembered as one of the worst foreign policy decisions in modern history, criticizing the administration for failing to achieve its stated objectives.
Schumer further questioned the transparency of the Trump administration, alleging that President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and senior US officials had avoided answering key questions regarding the conflict and any potential agreements reached behind closed doors.
According to Schumer, the public remains unaware of the details of any alleged understanding related to the conflict. He argued that the administration’s reluctance to provide answers reflected concerns about the outcome of the operation.
The senator reiterated his position that the conflict should come to an end and maintained that the United States should not have entered the war in the first place.
