China Urges Iran to Prioritize Talks Over War

Date:

Beijing, China – Web Desk: China has urged Iran to prioritize diplomacy over military confrontation, stressing that dialogue remains the only viable path to resolving escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which he expressed concern over the deteriorating regional security situation.

Wang Yi emphasized that all parties should make full use of opportunities to initiate peace negotiations, warning that continued conflict could further destabilize the region.

He stated that disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy rather than the use of force, reaffirming China’s consistent position in support of political solutions to international crises.

The Chinese foreign minister also cautioned that ongoing tensions in the Middle East pose serious risks not only to regional stability but also to the global economy and international security.

In response, Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi outlined Tehran’s position on the latest developments, while both sides agreed to maintain contact and continue diplomatic engagement.

China has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East conflict, arguing that a political settlement is essential for long-term peace and stability in the region.
