PIA Resumes Direct London Flights After 6 Years Suspension

Date:

Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume direct flights to London after a six-year suspension, offering renewed connectivity for Pakistani travelers and overseas communities.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline will operate three weekly flights from Islamabad and one from Lahore, using Boeing 777 aircraft for the route.

The flights will land at Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, marking the official restoration of operations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

The first flight from Islamabad is scheduled to depart on March 29, followed by the Lahore–London service on March 30. Initially, PIA will operate four weekly flights, with plans to gradually increase frequency.

Officials noted that PIA has maintained a 70-year legacy on the London route, which remains one of its earliest and most significant international destinations. Following the resumption, total weekly flights to the UK are expected to rise to seven.

Prior to the suspension in 2020, PIA operated up to 10 weekly flights on the Pakistan–London route. The airline aims to expand operations further based on demand and operational capacity.
