Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan has said that Bangladesh is expected to rely heavily on its fast bowlers in the upcoming Test series against Pakistan, while expressing confidence that Pakistan is prepared for all conditions.
Speaking during a training camp ahead of the two-match Test series, the 33-year-old from Mardan said he has often been labeled as a red-ball specialist, but remains focused on delivering consistent performances.
Sajid Khan recalled his strong performance in Mirpur in 2021 against Bangladesh, where he took eight wickets in an innings and 12 in the match, highlighting his ability in subcontinental conditions.
He also expressed frustration over limited opportunities in domestic cricket, stating that he was not given enough chances by his regional side in Peshawar, which affected his visibility and participation in leagues such as the PSL.
Despite setbacks, the spinner, who has taken 65 wickets in 14 Test matches, said he and fellow spinner Noman Ali are determined to perform strongly in the upcoming series.
Commenting on Bangladesh’s squad, Sajid noted their improving pace attack and recent confidence-boosting performances but said Pakistan’s morale remains high. He also mentioned experienced fast bowler Hasan Ali as a key figure in the home side’s bowling unit.
