Abottabad (Web Desk): Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, delivered a resolute message during an interactive session with faculty members and students from various universities in Abbottabad. The session focused on national security, counterterrorism efforts, and emerging external threats.
Addressing the gathering, DG ISPR stated unequivocally that the Pakistan Army is fully committed to defending the homeland and will respond with force and intensity to any form of external aggression. He emphasized that Pakistan has taken effective measures not only against terrorism but also against extremist elements such as Fitna-e-Khawarij, which pose a serious threat to internal stability.
The session saw a large turnout of educators and students from Abbottabad’s academic institutions. Key topics discussed included the recent Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions, the broader national security landscape, and the ideological battle of truth (Ma’raka-e-Haq).
During the event, participants paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces who have sacrificed their lives for the nation’s defense. Vice Chancellor of Hazara University, Dr. Ikramullah Khan, praised the military, stating, “The Pakistan Army is the true embodiment of patriotism. It always stands at the frontlines, and we stand shoulder to shoulder with it.”
Faculty members expressed concern over the increasing efforts by hostile elements to mislead the youth through misinformation. They stressed the importance of providing students with accurate, verified, and patriotic information to counter such narratives.
Students voiced pride in being citizens of a country where institutions like the Pakistan Army offer courage, guidance, and inspiration to the younger generation. They shared that the session helped them gain clarity on the false propaganda circulating on social media against the military.
Many students remarked that DG ISPR’s candid responses dispelled confusion regarding national and provincial affairs, as well as the role of the armed forces. The session not only enhanced awareness among academic circles about the current security situation but also deepened respect, trust, and emotional connection with the Pakistan Army.
