Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has dismantled a Nigerian-led drug network supplying cocaine and methamphetamine (“ice”) to students in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The operation targeted a growing threat to youth and educational institutions.
Acting on verified intelligence, ANF identified Charles Chuka, a Nigerian national, as a key distributor. Following continuous surveillance, Chuka was arrested from a private society in Islamabad with 10 grams of cocaine.
A follow-up raid at the residence of network leader Joseph Chinedu in Bahria Town led to the seizure of 26 cocaine capsules (600 grams), 90 cocaine tokens (90 grams), and 160 grams of methamphetamine, totaling 860 grams of narcotics. Chinedu was arrested, and the vehicle used for distribution was confiscated. Efforts to apprehend the remaining network members are ongoing.
The ANF highlighted that drug traffickers are using capsules to infiltrate educational institutions, reflecting changing methods to expand reach and avoid detection.
The force continues its “Drug-Free Islamabad” campaign to protect youth from the scourge of narcotics, prevent drug smuggling into the capital, and deny smugglers any operational space.
In five coordinated operations across Pakistan, the ANF has arrested six suspects, including two Nigerians and one female, and recovered 21.96 kilograms of narcotics valued at over PKR 11 million.
