Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has constituted a three-member full bench to hear petitions challenging the recently enacted Property Ownership Law.
The bench, headed by Chief Justice Alia Neelum, will commence hearings on February 23. Justices Jawad Zafar and Abher Gul Khan will also preside over the proceedings.
The LHC had earlier stayed the implementation of the law at the stage of preliminary hearings, pending further review. The upcoming full bench hearing aims to examine the constitutional and legal challenges raised against the legislation.
Legal experts note that the formation of a full bench underscores the high significance of the petitions, which have drawn attention from property owners, investors, and policymakers nationwide.
