Afghan Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Attend Ayatollah Khamenei’s Condolence Ceremony

Tehran, Iran – (Web Desk) Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi attended the condolence ceremony for Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Tehran, joining senior regional and international dignitaries in paying their respects.

According to Iranian state media, Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi visited the late leader’s casket on Friday and offered condolences, while Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar also participated in the memorial gathering on behalf of Afghanistan’s interim government.

The ceremony brought together political, religious, and diplomatic representatives from multiple countries as Iran continued nationwide mourning for the late Supreme Leader.

The participation of the Afghan delegation reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between Afghanistan and Iran during a period of heightened regional attention surrounding the funeral ceremonies.
