Tehran, Iran – (Web Desk) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir attended the condolence ceremony for Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Tehran, where they paid tribute to the veteran Iranian leader and expressed Pakistan’s condolences.
Leading a high-level Pakistani delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir offered Fateha and conveyed sympathies to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and other senior Iranian officials.
The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and other senior government representatives.
During the ceremony, the Pakistani leadership reaffirmed solidarity with the government and people of Iran while paying tribute to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s decades-long leadership and contributions.
The visit reflects the longstanding diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Iran, with both countries continuing close engagement during a period of significant regional developments.
