Tehran, Iran – (Web Desk) Prominent Afghan opposition leader Ahmad Massoud, a leading figure opposed to the Taliban government, attended the condolence ceremony for Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in Tehran.
According to international media reports, Ahmad Massoud participated in the memorial gathering alongside regional political leaders and dignitaries who paid tribute to the late Iranian leader.
Massoud, who leads an anti-Taliban opposition movement from abroad, has remained one of the most prominent political figures opposing the Taliban-led administration in Afghanistan.
His presence at the ceremony comes as delegations from across the region continue to visit Tehran to offer condolences during the official mourning period for Ayatollah Khamenei.
