Abu Dhabi Talks Fail: Russia-Ukraine Peace Negotiations Stall

Date:

Two-day US-mediated talks in Abu Dhabi end without breakthrough; next round set for Sunday

Abu Dhabi, UAE | Web Desk – Two days of high-level US-mediated peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi concluded without any major progress, officials confirmed. Direct meetings took place between Russian and Ukrainian delegations, yet no definitive agreement was reached.

According to an Emirati government spokesperson, discussions were conducted in a positive and constructive atmosphere, focusing on points outlined in the US-proposed peace framework. Both sides presented their positions seriously.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russia’s Foreign Ministry have agreed to participate in the next round of talks, scheduled for Sunday in Abu Dhabi. Zelensky said the discussions were constructive, and if progress continues, the peace process may advance in the coming week.

US officials described the two-day meetings as useful, noting mutual respect and genuine interest from both sides in resolving the conflict.
