(Web Desk) – Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has shared images of graves of 160 schoolgirls killed in a US strike, describing the photos as evidence of what he called the consequences of American military action.
In a post on social media platform X, Araghchi wrote that the images of the students’ burial sites represented the “rescue” promised to the Iranian people by former US President Donald Trump. He further stated that innocent lives had been lost from Gaza Strip to Minab, accusing external forces of widespread civilian casualties.
The 160 students were reportedly killed in an attack on a school in Minab, where they were later buried in a local cemetery. Iranian officials described the victims as schoolgirls, underscoring the civilian toll of the conflict.
The United States and Israel conducted joint military operations on February 28, which Washington described as part of efforts to address security threats. Iranian authorities maintain that civilian infrastructure, including educational facilities, was impacted during the strikes.
Araghchi’s comments reflect deepening diplomatic tensions and ongoing disputes over the humanitarian consequences of the conflict. International governments have called for restraint and renewed efforts toward a political resolution.
