Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s military has warned that it will respond firmly to any activity in the Strait of Hormuz carried out without Tehran’s approval, following recent remarks by US President Donald Trump suggesting that the United States could assume control of the strategic waterway.
In a statement, the Iranian military said it would not allow the United States or any foreign power to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that any activity conducted without Iran’s consent would face a strong response.
The statement also urged regional countries not to support Washington, warning that any military assistance to the United States would be viewed as participation in a conflict against Iran.
Iran further cautioned that any escalation could spread across the wider Middle East, adding that responsibility for such consequences would rest with the United States and its allies.
