Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei has reappointed Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei as the country’s Chief Justice, reaffirming confidence in his leadership of the judiciary.
According to an official statement, the Supreme Leader praised Mohseni-Ejei’s performance during his previous tenure and entrusted him with another term as head of Iran’s judicial system.
In the official decree, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei commended Mohseni-Ejei’s “sincere and valuable services” and expressed hope that he would continue working to strengthen the judiciary, uphold the rule of law, improve the justice system, and ensure the effective delivery of justice across the country.
Mohseni-Ejei is regarded as one of Iran’s most senior judicial officials and has previously served in several high-ranking judicial and government positions.
Political analysts say the reappointment signals the Iranian leadership’s intention to maintain continuity within the country’s judicial system, particularly at a time when Iran faces domestic political, legal, and regional security challenges.
Observers believe the judiciary will continue to play a key role in judicial reforms, anti-corruption efforts, internal security matters, and other significant legal issues in the years ahead.
